first October - spring here, autumn there ...

second Money and politics - consider at the time

MONEY AND POLITICS
If you do not know what's going on, it is about money. That old adage proved in Australia a few months ago. Members and Senators of the Labour Party to realize that under the leadership of Kevin Rudd have no chance of winning the next election, and so will lose their jobs. After all, a humorous definition specifies that a politician is a person who sincerely believed that the greatest misfortune for the country will be when he loses his shirt. So one evening, Mrs. Julia Gillard met the Prime Minister and said: "Listen Kevin, at the next meeting, and so you shall decide, so better to remove this alone, And for how we win elections, get a good position in government. " So perhaps, in a nutshell, this confidential conversation went. and indeed in the new federal government, Kevin Rudd was foreign minister.
And how did such a crisis, Labour's popularity? Just as in the days Whitlama attempted to carry out too many reforms too quickly. And it just fell out during the global economic crisis, which so far continues. And you know what it's suddenly the devil. Not visited share insulation, a lot of money spent on school buildings are not always needed, and no partially withdrawn from the shares of global warming. A popular Government, Kevin Rudd finally damaged the proposed taxes on companies extracting minerals, particularly in Western Australia and Queensland. and here again appealed to the money. Unfortunately, Rudd stubbornly delayed negotiations on this matter, perhaps for reasons of prestige. So they had to replace it with a person more flexible, Julia Gillard, and indeed within a few days teamed up with major mining companies, and then soon announced the election.
Well, now we have a minority parliament, which is suspended. Almost every vote can decide the fate of the current government. It also turned out that the decisive voice, especially in the Senate will have the Greens - the Greens. And what are the representatives of Christian churches? They note that the Greens support a number of ideas incompatible with Christian ethics, and thus abortion, euthanasia, and marriage and the adoption of children by same-sex couples. In theory, the Green Party should focus on saving our environment, so stop logging old trees, cutting emissions of carbon dioxide and zabranianiu construction of new coal mines and uranium mines. Unfortunately, these actions may result in increased expenses and loss of jobs, especially when they are carried out too quickly. And while electricity prices will rise, and taxes, the voters will once again struck the pocket. Do you come to a new election so? Maybe next year on the occasion of presenting a new budget.
Some people believe that you need a strong government to enact needed reforms. Others believe that the current system of parliament will adopt the resolutions that poprzednio nie miały szans.
In ancient Rome to assassinate Julius Caesar had to contribute to the bankers. Simply Caesar constantly demanded money for new conquests. And finally, when bankers refused, he began to arrest them. Well, you know how it ended. In modern democracies, the attacks carried out wearing gloves and bloodshed. But in the world of politics is always in addition to ideology, will determine the money.

Feuilleton Mark Baterowicza

TRAGIC ISLAND
Island was signaled as early as 1686, Davis filibuster, but only in 1722, discovered her sailor Dutch Roggeveen, giving it the name of Easter Island, as its fleet sailed to the island the day after the celebration of Easter.
tubylcowi the First, who dared to climb on board the Dutch handed over some gifts, and encouraged other residents of the island to visit the three ships Roggeveen. They were convinced that they too are a gift, so they took what fell. The Dutch responded with fire, many natives were killed. Roggeveen sailed so fast, did not interest him, even the giant stone statues, which took to be molded from clay.

After fleeting visit to a French ship in 1769, conquered the island in r.1770 viceroy of Peru, in 1771-1772 two expeditions arrived in Peru (then still belonging to Spain), taken at a precise map of the island, calling it San Carlos in honor of the English empire, the then monarch Charles III.

In 1774 the Captain Cook reached the islands, too enthusiastically greeted by the natives in turmoil once again committed a small theft, said the dust once again. In r.1786 Count de la Perouse stopped here for two days, tolerating minor transgressions. This time, not fired for stealing a sailor's hat. The French handed out even grain and plants, goats and poultry. Appreciate the natives named after the bay named hr. de la Perouse.

In 1805, however, begins with a band for the island of tragedy. The American schooner "Nancy" (from New London), kidnaps twelve natives, which was intended to be used for hunting seals. Ten girls kidnapped at the same time to provide entertainment for seafarers. On the third day of men the fetters, and then the natives immediately jumped into the water directing toward their island. It's hard to believe that, however, sailed to the coast - a distance of three days of sailing had to be substantial. In 1806 - after this sad experience - to the island could not nail the ship from Hawaii.

After several other expeditions in 1811 an American whaling ship and covered himself with a grim reputation, once again it was a woman.
great tragedy ended with the arrival of a squadron of six ships r.1862 Peru. Natives skuszono baubles, then collected the soldiers surrounded the hijacking hundreds of unfortunates to work in mines in Peru. Spear not lived up to the gun, shot multiple resistant. Not spared women, or children. Among the kidnapped were also, unfortunately, the last island of the sages, the custodian transfers the oral tradition of his people. Peruvians also captured the King Maurata with his family. A few days later, Peruvians also tried to kidnap the workforce in the small island of Rapa, but the natives defended themselves, and even took possession of one ship. Brought him to Tahiti, where the crew tried and convicted in a French tribunal. At the same time France intervened in the Peruvian capital demanding the release of kidnapped. The British also objected. But when the Peruvian government freed the unfortunate, approximately 80% of them have already died from hard work in the mines.

on Easter Island came back just a hundred freed, and the way they died from exhaustion and disease. For almost a thousand hostages returned to the island fifteen! They brought with them smallpox, which caused an epidemic: after several months of the five thousand inhabitants of the island there were only six. It seemed that the worst is over ...

attracted to the island expeditions, mainly French (Loti, Pinart), who studied the habits of the people ... But in 1888, captured the Chilean Easter Island to almost immediately transfer it to British Balfour Williamson & Company - which in turn decided that the island best used for pasture. Thus, Easter Island was henceforth to belong to sheep and rams, and not to the people!

natives were isolated area in the village of Hanga Roa-surrounded by barbed wire. About six o'clock the gates of the camp was closed, and without a pass had no native the right to wander around the island. Punished for stealing a sheep 50 days of work! On Easter Island are now thousands of sheep (in r.1964 up 47,000), plus a branch of the Chilean horse soldiers - and about a thousand natives live in poverty, deprived of their liberty. In 1914 he broke futile rebellion, led by the priestess of Anat.
in the Pacific was probably the only case so brutal oppression, how close to the policy of the camps. This enslavement of the people Pascuanczyków also has a universal dimension, and you can imagine in another corner of the planet.

Where violence or under pressure from finance to implement the economic model fits the oligarchs, not the citizens. And so, unfortunately, is happening just in Tuskostanie, which the government announces the sale of state enterprises in the English magazine "The Economist". There is nobody disturbed the sale since 2007 continues in the media war "kaczyzmem. And carelessness is getting rid of the national wealth, foreign companies may one day wish to graze sheep or rabbits to breed, where Polish farmer sowed the seed?

whole "politics" of the government platform leads to the ruins of the state, nation and the future of the Poles could make second-class citizens in their own homeland. There is unfortunately lacking vision probability. Perhaps fate awaits us, Easter Island, because even without the barbed wire the big companies are able to humiliate and enslave the population of unemployment - at least from the gas pipe!
